Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, also known as Ashanti was born on October 13, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She's an actress and singer who hails from her native United States. Ashanti became famous as an 18-year-old and was became signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. In the same year, she made an appearance in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? The Fat Joe's What's Luv and Foolish? When she released the single, What's Luv, at number two in the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at the top spot and Foolish being her first single, she was the only female to achieve this feat. Hey Baby (After The Club) hit radios and digital platforms on October 16. She also starred in films Christmas in the City, Army Wives and Latasha Monteclair.
